Nintendo did all this work and took a very risky stance by bringing motion control as standart control in home consoles, and now others just copy them again and jump in the motion control war just like that? Because Nintendo isn't even the first company to utilize motion control technology. Motion control technology has been used in the film industry for at least a decade before even the Wii came out. Nintendo owns the patent to the name and design of the Wiimote, but they don't own the patent to the actual motion control technology itself. Any company can build devices that utilize motion control.
