I like Destructoid and all, but I think I'm going to trust IGN on this one.

IGN has the tendancy to give out high reviews left right and center and then totally rip in to a game that doesn't fit the current gaming trends to earn some of its credibility back.

They couldn't hve picked an easier target...no name studio, budget title no one knows, low budget production. They can't pull their advertising $$$ of IGN...cause they prolly don't have any.

Im not saying that the game is good...just that I don't think either reviews should be considered as the "right" review.

Elaborate with a few examples, please

Few examples I remember are Sonic Unleashed, Alone int he Dark...hell even Earth Defense force 2017. Obviously flawed games...but they are not as bad as IGN claims they are. And most of all, they introduce some original concepts.

Not to mention that they were sandwiched between some monumental releases which got near flawless IGN reviews...giving a game that deserves a 6, a score of 3.5 gives your site/magazine some needed credibility when you keep handing perfect 10s and 9s based on name and production values alone. COD, GH in the name? - 8.5 guaranteed.

COD3 is a terrible game that brings not a single new idea to the table...it doesn't matter to IGN. 8.8!!!!!
