Back on topic: for me, no game has come close to the sly and subtle eroticism of Final Fantasy 12 -- specifically, Fran and Balthier. Why? Because the game designers rebelled against the obnoxious sexism which afflicts videogame culture. You know the drill: the allegedly sexy sidekick with giant mammary glands who aids and assists the White Male Hero With A Giant Sword Who Is Rebelling Against Ueber-Mommy (or UeberDaddy).
Fran and Balthier are both fascinating characters, they are equals in the relationship, and best of all, you're given small, subtle hints about who they are. They don't even kiss the whole time they're on-screen, but all the emotional nuances come through. It's kind of like a great Bollywood film, actually - there's plenty of on-screen hotness, you just have to know where to look.
