Actually some european countries dislike the 360. PS2 was pirated a lot in these countries, so the 360 turned out to be the "successor" of Ps2. But other people that buy original thing usually buy the ps3.

In Brazil, my estimate market share for ps2 was like: 95-97% Ps2. Today is probably: 42-45% Wii(15% original), 42-45% 360(7% original). 7-16% ps3(100% original)

Pirated to hell? Don't forget that PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 over here (Belgium) so it should sell more software anyway. If the 360 were pirated, its sales would be even lower imho (for our region)
