I feel RPG's will make a resurgence once they figure out how to bring online/miltiplayer play into the picture while still keeping it an authentic RPG experience. There are many RPG's now days that are popular but they deviate greatly from the old authentic RPG experience. Some RPG's have used multiplayer to an extent so it is gaining ground as a concept but they have yet to find a way that will make the experience that much better and propel it back into the main stream. I feel it will happen though.
