I've played every MGS game. I played MGS1 a long time ago, on the PS1, then again a few years later on the PC. I played MGS3 when I bought my PS3 (summer 2007). I played MGS2 shortly after that. I thought MGS3 was the best overall of the series, but I still really liked MGS4 and it's definitely one of my favorite games this generation. |
Really?
I don't know...I wish I could see the game from your perspective. I could never get any pacing going as the game always changed to something else with each level. But that something else felt like it was a repetition of something else before in the series. I guess I was expecting some cool future warfare stuff and the gameplay to revolve around that...like it did with the jungle and part 3....and while there was some cool stuff like the camo suit, you could just blow through the whole game as you got so much ammo... And thats before I even get in to the story which I thought was lacking of anything cool at best. Where is the humour? MGS games before it were funny...this one was so serious.
The coolest part for me were those intro live action movies...the workout one was so disturbing.
