The Stone Roses - 1984-1996 - Alternative Rock -the band's most notable lineup consisted of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary "Mani" Mounfield, and drummer Alan "Reni" Wren - part of the Madchester movement of the 1980's and 1990's - Had only 2 Studio albums, "The Stone Roses" (1989) and "Second Coming" (1994) - Debut album is considered to be one of the best and most influental of it's time - 4 UK Top 10 Hits - Key Songs (imo): "I Wanna Be Adored", "She Bangs The Drums", "Waterfall", "Made of Stone", "This Is The One", "I Am The Ressurection", "Fool's Gold", "Elephant Stone", "Love Spreads", "Breaking Into Heaven", "Begging You" and "Daybreak" - Post Breakup Squire fronted another band called The Seahorses and Ian Brown has enjoyed a fairly succsesfull solo career
