What Reggie might say has no importance: all the decisions are taken in Japan, and he'll know after the decisions are made, never before... and as Nintendo is very secretive, even when he finally knows something new about the planning of new software or new hardware, he's not allowed to say anything, otherwise, he'll be fired... simple as that...
