i really dont expect gears of war 3 will be released, because the next halo would have been released a couple of months prior. Two top notch shooters exclusive to 360 within two months, halo will own gears.
with the amount of bugs in gears 2 i think Epic might want to iron out the kinks of the next installment, so i believe gears will be part of the 2011 release. But thats not to say microsoft wont announce it at E3, but i think they will be too busy showing of support for natal.
the 360 will have an awesome year without E3....... halo.
