The PS3 is doing great atm, and come Christmas time I think the PS3 will make up a ton of ground on the 360.

I think that may be the best case scenario for the PS3 this Holiday.

I think the gap will shrink anywhere  to 5-6 million by January.

This time next year however, the gap will shrink even more to what you predicted (4 - 5 million).
