I do think that the initial sales will be lower because of it being released in the holiday period. The drops will be better though.
Looks at WKC, the first week was around 200k, the second week was over 70k (I think it"s the best second week for a PS3 game in Japan). The game held up well (especially for a RPG), despite dropping off really fast afterwards (when the holidays were over).
2 million will still be really hard to reach, though.
