Turn Based Battles Are Overrated

We've all been playing this turn based battle system ever since the first Final Fantasy game, and yes, its fun. I mean if its not broken why fix it right? Well, that was until I played the first CC game. Now, I'm not saying im done with turn based battle's in fact, FF XIII is one of my most anticipated game's, but it all started on the SNES when I played Tales of Phantasia and realized what a fun RPG could be like with a little action in it, and man do I miss Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube. I mean, that game almost had no story to it, yet I was addicted. Now its 2009-2010 and The Crystal Bearers looks to advance on that system. Being able to use force and control matter looks very fun. FF XIII, while high on my list, is just another grind fest.

Main Series Focuses On Too Much Story

A story isn't really neccesary to make a great game. Now I know, I know, the story is one of the main atractions of the main FF series, but man, I don't remember the story of FF3 DS. And I beat that game. But I sure do remember the battles, and the monsters. Its the little things that count. But I want to play a game not read it you know.

Main Series No Longer Exclusive

Well, at least in America. Now you guys have to share FF XIII among each other and what has that brought? Arguments between fanboys/girls. "You 360 fans have ruined my PS3 experience cause now we can't explore the whole game on one disc." "The graphics have been downgraded because the 360 is not strong enough to do PS3 graphics." And blah blah this is what I am reading all over and here I am thinking, wow good for you guys. I get to enjoy an exclusive from the ground up Wii games with no hinders. That makes me happy. We Wii fans don't need FF XIII to be happy, especially knowing that we get DQ X in the future EXCLUSIVE for the Wii.

Final Fantasy:CC Has Multiplayer

Sure, you may have needed Gameboys for the Gamecube one, but you don't need them for the DS one. And everybody knows how popular the DS is. Yeah, maybe The Crystal Bearers doesn't have multiplayer, but at least it will be fun for a group of people or maybe you and your brother or sister to take turns  playing it rather than FF XIII which seems more like "I want to play alone" kind of game.

Final Fantasy: CC Innovates

Everywhere from the music, to the graphics, to the characters, the Crystal Chronicles series innovates. My older brother watched me play FF: CC for Gamecube because of the music, and he hates these kind of games. My brother played it, and he disses RPG's (but he plays Pokemon). Not only that, it has multiplayer, live action fights, you can create you characters, and it keeps that Final Fantasy feel. Not only that but the series itself is evolving. Just look at the Crystal Bearers. Its more focused on original characters and a little bit of story, but it gives the player what they want, a game. Not to mention there are also a lot of fun mini game moments like riding chocobo's, or free falling. This just makes me wonder what new ideas they have for the CC series in the future.

All in all, these are my five reasons as to why the Crystal Chronicle's series is better than the main series. Yeah, the main series is still bigger among fans, but I do believe we Nintendo fans have been blessed with sonething special. And I do like my turn based action, which is why I can't wait for more DQ X news :D Please comment.
