They are satisfying both types of readers. The people who don't want the game to be good and wouldn't read the review past the score, and those who want to know if they should buy the game or not. 
If the scale wasn't as scewed as much, I would think the score was a great one, but seeing that the value of a 10 game is much lower than it use to be it is far from qualified by the sound of their review.
