It's not an exclusive anymore.

Wrong...Tekken went multi and nobody really cared....the answer is fighters are never really hyped...they have to be REALLY big ( SSB, SF4, MvsC) to get that kind of atention...but me and my bro are really lookin forward to it

Wrong.

When it went multiplat, PS3 owners downplayed its importance with that very damage control.

However, if this game was still PS3 exclusive, it would be touted as the best fighter so far this gen, and there would be hype trains, sales predictions, and everything else that comes for free with being a PS3 exclusive, quality be damned.

It shouldn't have betrayed the fanbase, and now it must pay....with passive-agressive foeboyism.

imho

I do seem to remember Tekken 5 being pretty hyped... a whole bunch of "It's better then virtual fighgter/other multi fighter" etc.  No wait 5 was PS2.  Maybe ut was when virtua fighter came out?  Some 360 fighter anyway.

But that was back when the PS3's lineup had like... absolutely nothing to brag about i believe.  So it could be that or it could be that it was just one of a few exclusives fanboys could tie their hat to.
