Forza has brought in a croud too but I don't see Forza selling half of what GT does on opening week. GT's Japan first week sales alone could beat that of Forza 3's WW first week sales. I don't think Forza could do over 600 k WW in one week unless bundled but I could be wrong since the game has sprouted some big hype concerning it's status against the GT series. But when going up against each other in a raw sales battle it's pretty obvious who's gonna come out on top but not only will GT beat Forza for the first week (and the rest of them too) but PS3 will also get a pretty big increase in sales and imagine how big it would be if Sony cut the price on the PS3. |
PD reported that they shipped 3.67m GT5P including PSN downloads. And that was a couple months ago.
