  1. Console games get free content too and do you have to pay for things like the Pitt or Broken Steel on the PC or can you even get it?
  2. Most games let you have many controller layout options and generally the default is the best option.

  4. Why should I care about AA?  The game is suited to best fit the console because that's what it's made for.  Most people don't like fiddling with a bunch of graphical settings they don't even fully understand in the first place.
  5. What do you mean trouble with resolution settings on consoles?  What games actually let you change resolution settings?  You can set the resolution to the resolution of your TV but beyond that there's nothing else to do.

So the 360 has a single overpriced accessory (Wifi adapter) and suddenly everything is overpriced?  I don't even know what you're talking about with 1m short cables, are you talking about the PS3 charging cable?  You mean a standard USB cable that you don't even have to use while playing?  I've admitted my weak arguments, at least admit yours.

It's much easier to convince a wife to allow a piece of electronic equipment rather than a computer and they do look very different.  Also, if you have a high end gaming PC, do you really want it crammed inside an entertainment center?  Also, most people PC's for things besides gaming meaning I would either have to do work on the TV (which means nobody else can watch TV) or move the computer back and forth which isn't fun.

point 7 is stupid. Case straps and case wheels are available for this reason. Hell, just make a handle and screw it to the case if needed.

So you're saying it isn't a pain in the ass everytime you want to play a game or work on the computer you have to unhook everything, move the computer, and rehook everything?

I don't have the cleanest/simplest setup but it isn't bad and about as easy I can make it and moving and hooking everything up isn't fun, it's a chore (especially since my computer lives downstairs and my TV lives on the second floor).

I fixed that problem quick-like.  I have a hdmi cable/USBs running through the wall to my LCD TV.  Whenever I want to play games I just switch monitors and play.  It's a bitch to initially hook up but worth it.

 

Edit- Sorry didn't see the different stories of the house.  Not sure the cables can carry info over that long of a distance.  Even if it could it probably wouldn't be worth it...
