Does that make sequels of racing games also remakes? Those are usually games without stories. Or generally, are all sequels of games without stories automatically just remakes? |
Also a difference, they update heavily the whole game. Though a lot of racing games end up being that, but most racing games have a heavy story. You are building a carreer as a driver, or some other story, you constantly tune and change the cars etc. You are also putting words in my mouth. Punch out is no different then it's NES counterpart. The style, the "story"(it actually has one, it's the same story), the characters, with a few extras of course, and even down to fighting mechanices, only thing that has changed is you use wii-mote. You can call it a new game, which it is, just as every remake is new. At the end of the day it's a remake.
Remember, if it smells like a duck, quaks like a duck, looks like a duck, it's a duck.
