PSX = PSone. I meant PlayStation, not PS1 + PS2 combined. And you're right, there were 5 Crash games on PSX, but I was only talking about Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot games, that's why I said 4, I guess I should have been more specific, my bad. As for the comparison, you have surely used VGC's numbers, which I doubt they're correct as Sony stated that Naughty Dog has sold more than 30 million Crash Bandicoots. I know that there's no reason to say the same won't be applied to the Mario games, but VGC was not available at that time, so we can't really know unless we use Sony and Nintendo figures, which I think I stand by my statement in that case. However, my main point is that ND's Crash games had a chance to take Mario as a more known mascot, until Sony dropped the IP. P.S. All 5 PSX Crash Bandicoot Games > 5 Top N64 Mario Games (Sale Numbers, According to VGC) |
This is what we would call cherry picking. You pick a random icon versus Mario in a random amount of numbers. Kinda like the guy above did whilst handsomely leaving out the GBA. Why didn't you chose Snake for instance? Or Krato Why didn't you take 2 generations instead of one?
