A few PS3 exclusives which take an eternity to develop, lots of delays, look impressive and superior to the XBox 360 games. The PS3 exclusive games are tech demo games. The exclusive PS3 games such as Uncharted, MGS 4, Kill Zone 2 are released like one game every 6 or 9 months. So a long wait in between standout PS3 exclusive games. UnCharted 2 will arrive late October 2009, around 8 months after Killzone 2 launched. God of War 3 is due out March 2010. Gran Turismo 5 will be out later in 2010.

Ironically the multi-platform games still perform and look better on XBox 360. The PS3 games need a lot longer to get them to look better by glossy pre-rendered CG graphics in PS3 games. Multi-platform titles have to be rushed out quickly onto market to keep up with consumers demand for new product.

PS3 main problem which  is adversely impacted on its software sales is the ludicrous price for PS3 console that has remained at $400 for around 18 months and counting. A high price to pay for an entry level PS3 console. A rival current generation gaming machine that provides 90% of the same experience is found elsewhere at half the price of PS3.

I think its evened out for the most part now, espeially since some developers (EA) are starting to make the PS3 their lead console (which makes sense as the PS3 and 360 versions end up pretty close porting FROM the PS3 rather than TO the PS3)  I think as this gen progresses it will basically come down to what exclusives you like better.  As for graphics I think that Alan Wake might open some eyes graphically and Heavy Rain has the potential to beat KZ2.  And Uncharted 2 is my most anticpated game because of its colors schemes
