I personally feel like we are past the "shooter box" stereotype that was often applied to the 360. There is so much more to the 360 than shooters. Because I used to be a full-time PC gamer, I've grown a little bored with shooters. With a few exceptions, I don't buy a whole lot of shooters anymore. I've been spending more time on action and rpg games on my 360. However, when I do feel like simply blowing things up for a few hours, all my favorite shooters are available on this platform. In fact, Half Life 2 is my favorite game of all time, and while I prefer k+m for shooters, I do think it's cool to play the Orange Box on my flat panel from the couch.

For me personally, rather than being a "shooter box", the 360 has been more like my gaming PC replacement. Now that I'm a dad, I really can't justify spending the money on PC upgrades every year or two like I used to in the past. In that capacity, the 360 was the perfect solution. Most of my recent PC game purchases were available on the 360 as well, and I have to admit, I am LOVING Gears 2, which is something I never thought I'd say.
