great the war of fanboys. Not gonna touch on the stories.

but in the aspect of being an amazing inovative game zelda wins hands down.

FF7 was basically a 2d game with some cg cutscenes. FF8 was way more inovative and in my opinion the first 3d final fantasy game.

while zelda on the other hand was just amazing what it did on the 64.

There's a technical aspect in FF7 that is indeed revolutionary and heavily overlooked; gameplay during cutscenes.  You could control Cloud's movements through several cutscenes.  While it wasn't implemented in the main gameplay, it was still amazing and it continues to be improved upon to this day.

1.ok yea forgot about that pointless aspect of walking around during a cutscene.  2.but couldn't you do that in chrono trigger?  i only played ds version,  but thought htey were exact port and only a couple added dungeons.

3. a)Ha was thinking of that Zelda rumor a while back that said it was gonna be some kid who isn't link that thinks he is link and tries to save the world and all.  And its gonna be all dark and stuff.  b)LOL i wonder what FF7 fanboy wrote up that story.

1. Revolutionary aspect.

2. No

3. a)what are you talking about?

    b) You just had to say "FF7" fanboy, didn't you?

I might as well start a barometer of how many times I must remind myself of where I am.  Sadly this place gets news faster than almost any other gaming site.

you don't recall that rumor about the next zelda's story that had to do with some kid thinking he was the hero of time and dressing like him and all that going around trying to save the world.   Sounds pretty much like ff7 to me.  Cloud thought he was zack and took his life over, even tried to hook up with his girlfriend.

I don't recall any rumor, and I have no idea where you got that from.  Also, why do you think that sounds like FF7?  A kid thinking he's the hero of time and trying to save the world is Zelda's storyline.

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*
