Wii controls by themselves with never make an average game anything other than average. They need quality beyond the control scheme, as if you take the beloved controls away, you quickly find that FPS offerings on the Wii are seriously lacking in many regards. I will take a great FPS with okay controls (Left 4 Dead on x360) way before I will take an okay FPS with great controls (presumably The Conduit).

I do actually get into the game more with the wiimote than a game pad or a mouse keyboard setup myself, if you spend enough time with it, it does feel a lot better, which is one of the sell points of the Wii, if you take the controls away, then it's not really a Wii game o_O, so I don't know where you are really going with this lol. The major problem of course, is western devs wanting to push HD but are loosing money instead, when they could have spent less and still made quality games on the Wii, and a lot of them are still in denail about it even now.
