Why are people already saying "they are gonna let you download it for free but all the extras will cost"

They DID say some stuff could cost (keyword: some) but if you look at the whole package, there's so much stuff you can do... buying things for your home isn't the biggest feature, there will be public rooms so if you are not into designing your home and all that stuff, just don't do it...

In fact, you can use the XMB if you don't like home.

It seems like some of you are trying small things and make them look important to bash the PS3...

Isn't that the key feature, and POINT of HOME in the first place?

If you don't spend any time doing your own stuff, and just trawl for other "rooms" - isn't that just intentionally subjecting yourself to "advertising"? Sure, its one thing visiting a friends room - but the public rooms will just be a Sony specified way for companies to advertise their products.

Better off launching a web browser, and visiting YouTube, MySpace, Bebo, Flickr, or other community sites. More/better content, better searching, faster access, etc.

Im sure some people will love HOME - good luck to them. I'll rather play a game or... browse the web :)
