That was a pretty good name-taking.
It shall hereby be referred to as "The Socratic Ass-Kicking," by which one answers one's own question. It is an ass-kicking that improves you even as it takes your name.
And yes, N'Gai is about right. The publishers and developers at large (there are some that are better about this) aren't going to attempt to adapt until they have no other choice. Some of them will end up going down with the ship.
It's ugly, but it's probably pretty close to what will actually happen.
