Well, didn't all the neo-cons blame Clinton for 9/11?  I suspect there would be a lot of finger pointing back at Bush if it were to happen in the next year or 2.

Otherwise, it would depend on the response to the attack as to whether or not Obama would get my vote.

 

Well that is the nature of the game inside the Beltway.  Every prez is not perfect although this is a kind of screw up that could change the electorate.  (I worked at McCain HQ for months so I still have election yr terminology on the brain)
