The raw system specs difference between the 360 and PS3 are actually pretty huge for the long run. I think many hardcore 360 fans will want to buy a PS3 as well (no matter if many say they vomit of the idea currently,  Believe me, nearly all low level programmers who worked with both systems will agree to this, some may not want to admit this publically though.
