Microsoft Announces HOMEless REDMOND, Wash. — April 1, 2007 — Microsoft announced today the unveiling of a first-of-its-kind 2D offline user community service for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. The service, known as “HOMEless,” will enable Xbox Live Gold members to create their own 8-bit avatar and explore a virtual community of Xbox Live Silver users. HOMEless is a laggy online 2D community available in Xbox Live. It allows Xbox Live Gold members to get into Xbox Live Silver users’ systems and take full control of their gaming experience. With an 8-bit avatar uniquely customized according to each user’s preference, Gold members can pause Silver users’ games, reset their Xbox 360s or trash talk through both speakers and Xbox 360 Live headsets with no option for the hacked Xbox Live user to mute the Xbox Live Gold member. http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13152/Microsoft-Announces-HOMEless/
