woah nightsurge you're getting kinda ridiculous.

wiiplay sales certainly can be argued. that game is more of a techdemo or just a compilation of the type of games you'd play free on the internet (hence why it sales for 10 bucks). but notice i said "that game" because it still is a game, tech demo or not. now yes i agree most people bought wiiplay cuz of the controller and there are usually more wiiplays than there are solo controllers in stock. however the one person that i know that has wiiplay bought it for the game. there's also certainly the idea that hey i need a new controller and i can get it plus wii play for just 10 bucks more.

i think most of the sales of wiiplay are simply due to great marketing (bundled with a controller, only 10 dollars, has the name wii in it so people that don't know about it think its gonna be a great game like wiisports). however those are its sales and while i don't think its fair in comparisons to say its sold 15 million or whatever its even less fair to give it zero sales. it seems like one of those things where you need to include its sales but give it an asteriks. cuz just taking some arbitraty percentage of its sales to try to make it more fair is just completely random.

now really where you get crazy nightsurge is when it comes to wiisports. from your last few posts your absurd hatred of wiisports is clear. despite it selling over 3 million copies for about $40 a pop in japan you pretend like that doesn't count by saying the japanese are paying too much for this tech demo and so it doesn't count. well i think $60 is too much for any game so everyone is overpaying for$60 hd games so they don't count either. see how ridiculous it is.

first wiisports is definitely is a game. a full fledged game. it has 5 sports, while some are simplified and none have a ton of depth (depth does not mean replay value) it also has 15 training modes and a wii fit test. its a full fledged multisport game. also i'm guessing you've either never played it or you are one of those gamers who refuse to accept any casual game no matter how fun it is. because the game is freakin awesome. there are few games i've played as much as i've played wiisports, and i didnt just play multiplayer. at least half my time if not more was spent singleplayer, especially on boxing and golf.

also the reason why wii is the fastest selling system of all time: wiisports. millions of people bought the system after playing just that game. two friends and two family members bought the system for wiisports after they played it on my wii. your idea of wiisports only costing 10 dollars is ridiculous in the first place cuz it would probably be a 30 dollar game(like re4:wii, should we not count the 1.6 million sales of re4 cuz of that pricing?). also many people thought the game was worth not 10 or 30 or even 50 dollars, but 250 for that one game. because tons of people who wouldn't have bought the system bought it just for wiisports. and finally theres the fact that if wiisports wasn't bundled but the wii still sold as much as it has wiisports (being the primary system selling game) would by now probably have sold maybe 20 million copies. in terms of popularity and sales its basically the wiifit that launched with the system.

so if you say wiisports has zero sales you are an idiot. if you say it has 3.3 or whatever from japan you are pretending like the hottest game of this gen doesn't exist outside of japan which is also dumb. you can't really guess at the sales nonbundled to include in a comparison like this cuz that would be random, although it obvsiously would've sold more than wiiplay has so thats like a bottom number for a guess. so all you can do is include all wiisports sales and again put an asteriks by it.
