People seem to forget how bad things were in 2007. Sony is doing much better now. Could Sony have done anything better at a $400 price point? I dont think they could of without more massive exclusive titles.
It would be crazy to make $200 worth of price cuts in one year. $100 a year will probably be their price cut limit.
I think in 2008 Sony reassured third party developers that their platform is strong and good enough to support their games. There was less 360 third party exclusives this year over last year.
Things could of been much much worse.
