Define the phraze "Worth the purchase". Because I'm quite happy with my PS3, and am sure you can find quite a few people on this site that are quite happy with their Wii's.
Games that you dislike can be enjoyed by someone esle can't they??? And since when was the iPod mainly bought for games like the Wii is???
SONY pushing BD for movies AND GAMES is a bad thing??? It's only helping the format in the future, shit it beat it's competition thanks to the PS3 didn't it??? And for it's price tag that thing sold and still sells well. Check the sales for other systems that have launched for 500+ dollars in the past and compare those to PS3 sales..... Oh, and once again they don't FORCE YOU to buy it...
Yes...... After the damn mess got far to out of hand and it was making the product look pretty damn bad the give the consumers a 3 year warranty...... PS3 and Wii never had an issue as Epic as the RROD, and am not sure about the Wii but My PS3 came with a free 1 year warranty......

I would have taken a 200 dollar ps3 no bluray no wireless because i refuse to use wifi for gaming and a library as good as the 360's and with dual shock from the start and a better online service.
I got screwed my ps3 just broke today.I hardly played it and i was told they wont fix it for free unless i "purchased a warrenty" because its 2 motnhs over a year old.
I had hddvd and i prefered hddvd the quality was better from the get go.Sony did steal they stole my right to use the format that i found best.Because they put bluray in ps3 it forced studios to look at ps3 purchases as potential bluray movie supporters thus killing hddvd.
Microsoft gave me a choice sony didnt period.
Now im putting this hunk of crap on craigslist because im not paying to fix a flawed console.I took great care of it hardly used it kept it dust ands smoke free and all.
