i think it would be better if they new what most gamers like - SSBB - and not just HD or core games that have lower sales

(for game of the year) and are going to be forgotten after 1 month or smth!

 

Sales can't be factored in to these debates because then there would be no debate.  MK Wii sold the most this year and therefore obviously it is GotY.  No debate or thought necessary.  But then is that really chosen based on what the reviewers think of as quality?
