Neo Geo didn't fail.

It wasn't the best selling console but it was never supposed to be.

Originally it was just supposed to be sold to hotels as an entertainment device people could get for hotel rooms or rentals to allow people to play the arcade at home.

It also "lived to tell the tale" as it survived longer then even the SNES... it lasted until 1997.  Well into the PS1 era.

It's games cost 200 bad boys a pop too... and i believe was never sold at a loss.

The Neo Geo was more expensive, and more successful from a buisness point of view.
