You can't bring it back and eat it again, unless you buy another one. I said it in the other thread and I'll say it again, people will eventually find the Wiimote frustrating and arm killing... I know and everybody knows the PS3 is here to stay... Good sales or not it's gonna give you gameplay/movie playback/graphics like no other [Wii]. And when the Wii drops, people will see the reason in PS3. And currently, It's outselling the 360, and when the March stats come in, you're gonna see it more clearly than ever. Just my prediction. I'm sorry to destroy your hope how people could get rid of the wii, but i'm sure nobody will find the wiimote frustrating and especially not arm killing. there are very few games which use the wiimote in a manor that could make it arduously if you play it a long time. you can play zelda or excite truck for hours and it won't annoy you in any way. This is the important point of the wiimote: it is not a different way to control games, but a better one, because if the new way of controlling doesn't work for a game, you can just use the old one and may improve it slightly. (zelda is a good example for a slight improvement, ssb:m will be an example for a game controlled in the traditional way.) The same thing happens with the ds: there are a good number of million sellers which don't use the touchscreen.
No the wii remote offers a different way of playing games not a better one. In short the wii remote is suited to some games but not others.
