First Gears of War 2 review will be out tomorrow

Imagine how this would look:

2006: Gears of War

2007: Super Mario Galaxy

2008: Gears of War 2

I think they want to avoid that. And I really want to see how they improve on the first Gears of War.

Why, exactly would they want to avoid that?  And who is they exactly?

I don't know that Gears 2 is GOTY, but if it deserves it, it should get it, regardless of what awards Gears 1 recieved. 

I expect, from all the glowing previews this game has recieved that it will average mid to high 90's.  However, if it doesn't, that would mean absolutely nothing to me, as I will still be playing the hell out of it.  Lower aggregrate scores would only mean something to someone who wanted to marginalize the value of this game to the 360's library.

 

It's because the Official Xbox Magazine (UK) also reviewed Super Mario Galaxy, right! That was a great game on the 360!!! oh wait a minute...

I'm sure people will be buying Gears 2 no matter what the review scores are anyway. I know I'm picking it up no matter what score it gets, because I really enjoyed the first one.
