Oh boy I see someone in here is in denial.

They aren't statistically tied anywhere but North Carolina.

So here is a scenario right here:
Obama wins VA. Obama is up 6.3 points in VA. He has commercials air every 40 minutes or so.
Obama could lose Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina, Missouri and still reach 273 electoral votes, making him President.

He is either winning or statistically tied in each of those states right now.

Unless something HUGE happens globally within the next few weeks that doesn't involve the economy, Barack Obama is going to win and win by enough to cause a Republican party reformation. Its a win win there i think, since the neo-con run Republican party is just shitty and corrupt.

Weren't they saying roughly the same thing about Gore and Kerry around this time?

Neither Gore nore Kerry ever contested states like Virgina, West Virginia, etc.

And neither of them was ever up by 10 points nationally.

McCain would have to someone reverse his whole campaign in 9 states who favor Obama more and more with every poll. And do it with no economic plan, a crappy health plan, and a vice president who is "likable", but thought as being unqualified by more people than not for VP.

It could happen, but not the way things are going right now.
