It was estimated that invasion of Japan would cost AMerica and Japan about Million casualties, because proud Japanese nation wanted to fight till they simply bleed out. They were giving peasants bamboo sticks to fight for their holy land.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the lesser evil, it had to be done, if you are a leader of a world power in the conflict. You hardly choose between good and evil , everything is grey. Plus Dolittle's ride on Tokio with the B17's did more damage then Enola Gay.
And how people can actually dont believe in the moon landing seriously...
