In USA ps3 is selling better then xbox360 for same period of time, and it cost 600$.

In japan you get ps3 for 500$, and now it outsells xbox360 + with low shippements of wii, almost reached wii, 30k vs 40k for last week.
and now in europe it will be selling for J425 = 850$ in UK, and other countrries for 600Eu = 800$. And people will buy.

YOU BUY PS3 FOR 5 YEARS, MINIMUM.
5 YEARS = 60 MONTH.
YOU LIVE IN USA: 600$/60 MONTH = 10$/MONTHLY, IS THAT MUCH FOR SUCH PEACE OF TECHNOLOGY? WHICH CAN PLAY AMAZING GAMES + YOU CAN WATCH FULL HD MOOVIES.
YOU LIVE IN EUROPE: 800$/60 MONTH = ~14$/MONTHLY.
HOW MUCH COST YOUR MOBILE? HOW OFTEN YOU CHANGE IT?
What for me, i going to buy PS3, when it gets rumble in sixaxis + chip that plays all region blu-ray disk, 
or when FFXIII released. :) BECAUSE TODAY I STILL HAVE WHAT TO PLAY ON MY PS2.
1) I just mentioned this, FACT, Xbox price dropped 6 months after launch. No a price drop doesn't have to wait until the manufacturer decreases the parts cost. You think the original Xbox cost less than 200 dollars when they price dropped in May 2002? They were losing probably more money per console than Sony is now.
2) The 20GB in Japan is 420 dollars US, the 60GB is 600 dollars US.
3) We all know it's outselling 360 for the same time frame in US now, but as pointed out manny times that was due to 360 supply constraints.
4) I agree with you, for the price I think you get a lot, I think it's set at the right price, but it won't sell a lot if you price it to sell only to the people who can afford it.
