So what you're saying is that the Wii can have amazing games as long as it does not (primarily) receive ports of PS3, XBox 360 or new PC games?

Not really. I don't think it helps when the Wii gets cut down versions of games on other platforms, but then what are devs to do? If you only own a Wii you would probably rather have the option of buying a game than not.

My opinion in a nutshell is: -

1. Graphics alone can never make a game good.
2. Good graphics are an element that can make a game better.
3. Wii games generally look like crap on a HDTV compared to other systems.

I'd guess that in general, most people would agree with 1 and 2. Problem is you get this graphics Vs. gameplay debate that's not really relevant when you can have both.

The thread is only about graphics and I think they're definitely a weakness in the Wii's case. I suspect that nobody would be complaining if the Wii was HD, and I also suspect that many of the HD naysayers will change their tune entirely if the Wii2 is HD capable.

It's that simple, let the haterz hate and watch the money pile up.

Unless it's piling up in your bank account I don't see why you care. "Haterz" - lol. MS make more money than Nintendo in general so they must be teh WINNAR!!

The thing about that is; to core Wii owners (Core - appreciate the value or that platforms product by constantly demanding software, they express this with every purchase.) PS360 doesn't have great gameplay. To you it does, like I was saying to each their own. Point is the install base numbers show that more people want HD, but by 2009 that's probably going to change. If you ask a Wii owner to enjoy CoD4 they would, it's a game after all, and it's not a bad one. But what goes on in their mind if they like that kind of game to begin with would be: "This would be awesome with wiimote controls." If you asked them about the graphics, they'd tell you "The characters look shiney, why is that? But I like the desert area."

Those statements are in quotes - because in anecdote I'm reffering to Wii owners who I've had play my CoD4 - to those guys who aren't even to my knowlege forum board junkies PS3 (CoD4) graphics isn't a selling point, in actuality it's a non-factor.

That's the reason why The Conduit's developers claim that the market for the realistic shooter isn't being appreciated on the Wii, they are modestly probably expecting to sell 500k copies of that game, if you look at even the most recent shooter MoHH2 the graphics on that game are near N64 level character models and early PS2 textures, of course it's a psp port.

You can but it's wrong to assume that everyone likes or considers something relavant just because you do.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
