Wow! The game does look amazing, and it has indeed exceeded my expectations... all I can say is wow... I will defiantly get the PS3 version, just because the dynamic lighting and shading will be much better on the PS3. The game just looks amazing and I love the way New York is looking, just simply amazing. This whole thing just has me so excited I just ran out and reserved my copy of the game at Amazon.com. I just couldn’t help it. This game is going to be amazing. And since I just got this Sony card which gives you a 100 dollars after you first purchase that means I just got the game for free…. LOL ……sweet. So I don’t know if he just didn’t know or whatever, I’m at Amazon.com now so I don’t care.

It does look nice - pretty much as expected, a souped-up, graphically intense version of the old games. Probably been working on this for 3 years now ;) I actually expect the 360 version to be slightly better - at least in some respects. If they can tap all the power of the PS3, then it may actually look better, have more people on the street, and so on. Notice how they avoided people in general (apart from some distance shots) - maybe the NaturalMotion stuff isn't quite ready to show off. BTW - read somewhere the game will be subtitled "City of God" (rumour?). First *real* next-gen game i have seen - something definitely not possible on the Wii. (PS - didn't play *any* of the GTA titles - generally didn't grab me, and not content I really like. This may be different? Curious to see what online features it has - imagine a MMORPG that looks like this).

Graphically it's amazing, and its cool to see New York in such good graphics. Yet in May I'll be playing another game based in New York, namely Spiderman 3 which also looks amazing and has superhero gameplay(Spiderman 3 trailer). So again I stand to the fact that this game has alot to prove they need to add to the gameplay and fix the fighting and shooting alot. And I'm kind of bummed that the trailer has yet to show off anything new on a gameplay front. So far I'm a little more impressed with the new Thief game coming.

Look, GTA3 was ground breaking when it came out. First huge, sandbox game, cars, violence, story, etc. The challenge for GTA4 is to add new gameplay to the same formula. Im sure the more intense and realistic graphics will suck people in - but it does stand a chance of "just being the same game". It all comes down to what Rockstar are aiming for with this. BTW - there is another title coming, which has had NO press recently. Sony's "Getaway" - seen some screenshots, and I think its attempting to do almost exactly the same thing. Going to be interesting to see how they compare (I *hated* the first Getaway - after all its hype :P) - esp. in terms of a cross-platform game vrs a PS3 dedicated title.
