Kwaad, this is completely wrong. If your Wii dies (completely - and I mean completely), you lose your save games, and other related info - not the VC titles. Nintendo has on their server information about what VC titles you bought. You send them the broken Wii, they transfer the games to the new Wii. All sounds fair to me? You can't expect Nintendo to allow people to buy multiple Wii's, and just download the same games to other boxes? If/when we get around to upgrading, I doubt there will be a problem. They will probably add a service where you can "unregister" a VC title from one Wii - or transfer it to another one in a similar fashion. I don't see an issue at all???

You just said my exact problem. You send the Wii to Nintendo and say. "Here's 150$. Please fix my wii." That is the only way to keep them. That is exactly what I am saying. That *IS* the probelm. Notice the 150$ (or whatever their gonna charge you to fix a broken Wii) The PS2 costs ~75$ to get fixed. and the 360 costs over 150$. I dont know what NIntendo will charge for a repair. But that sounds like the only way to move the VC games. Meaning you have to pay to keep the games that you bought. EDIT: If that is no issue to you, Then paying 600$ for a PS3, or even 3000$ for a gameing computer, or 200,000$ for a Cell Blade Supercomputer.

All your VC purchases are linked to your Nsider account (if you set it up). Also Kwaad, the wii has a warranty of 1 year (not 90 days) in america and add another 3 months to that if you register your wii at www.nintendo.com.

I got that impression at first, and I read deeper... I couldn't find anything saying that... Prove me wrong... please? EDIT: I got out of the Nsider thing, it was like when you register a game with them. The game is not linked to that account. That account just knows of it's existence...

Aw man, other people started posting. Kwaad I don't understand your answer to shams post. Didn't he just say you can send in your system if it dies to get it repaired and all your VC games will be fine. What is the problem there? From what shams said all your doing is sending it in and paying for it to get repaired. Wouldn't that be the same if you sent in a ps3 or 360 for dieing. I must have read something wrong, please clarify what was wrong with his answer? I thought he pretty much answered what the issue was, which was having to pay for VC title again if your system died.

Alot of the time you can buy a new console/system for less than it costs to get a refurbished Peice of crap. Or about the same.

Kwaad, it's been already said from Reggie that with a firmware update in the near future they will allow you to save your VC games on SD cards. And, the Wii warranty is 1 year not according to Nintendo, there is a law in every country which determines the warranty duration of all electronic stuff. In most countries this is a year. The 90 days you talk about is the extension you can get by registering your Wii. Also, if you send your Wii to Nintendo during the 12-15 months of your warranty they can fix it up (if there is not a big problem) or send you a new one with all your previous-Wii data.

Honestly Kwaad...I don't think you have to worry so much about something like this. Nobody has complained about such a problem, and if someone's Wii broke, I don't think it would be an issue for Nintendo to replace your VC games on a replacement console.
