I still haven't played God of War 2 yet (had it for a while, just haven't had the time to sit and play it) but played God of War and didn't see what the big deal was. It was a fun game and a welcome change from a lot of other games, but it wasn't this totally amazing thing. Even things like the puzzles were pretty poorly done.
As for when God of War III is released, if they haven't even started it yet, I wouldn't even dream of a 2008 release and would expect something closer to a late 2009 to early 2010 release. That's even a generous estimate.
As for Zelda, don't dream of another one until 2010.

How do you know that they won't? I still think SMBB could use one more surprise characture. 
As long as they went back to the Sim/Platformer that made Actraiser awesome and don't do what they did with Actraiser II (which I did like) bringing back that series would be nothing but win.

Sources have already confirmed within Nintendo that an unamed Zelda for the Wii has at least been in the works since before TP was released. Unlike the PS3, a four year dev time is not required for the Wii.
Thats too bad.
As for the other Zelda... Duh. TP was ready for at least 1 year, maybe 2

Well aware of that, but there's always that famous Miyamoto quote: "a delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."
They will work on that game until it's perfect and I will not be surprised at all when it's released on 2010.

This is Nintendo we're talking about here. Everything (and I mean everything) has a four year developmental cycle. :D
