wow dude i wonder why there adding a blue ray player..... maybe because HD died hmmmm there not going to be making those anymore for it... kind of a dumb thing to knock them off for doing... if they do that its going to force the ps3 to drop prices... and if they add a motion sensor remote it will force wii to lower prices so i dont see why your complaining.

Instead of acting dumb like you are accusing the OP of doing, why doesn't someone try and answer him? If he is given logical arguments and fails to recognize them, ignore or ban him, simple as that. And for the record, I somewhat agree. The gaming business would suffer the least if MS was the one that left, that's all I'll say.

If Microsoft hadn't pushed online capabilities you'd have no wii ware, or psn at this stage. Maybe later but not yet. No Microsoft don't innovate at all... Look at how tacked on online was last generation compared to live.

Also you can't say Microsoft in anti-competitive when they're in competition with two companies just as bad. Read some Nintendo or Sony history first. All 3 of them are ruthless.

I think PSN Store and WiiWare would've happened regardless of XBLA, since its digital distribution in general (ITunes). Also, if there is a 360mote released, the jerk in me hopes it tanks for blatantly ripping off the Wii. But the modest forum-friendly guy in me says I hope it's implemented well and enhances already grrrreat games :D Finally, you chose HD-DVD over Blu-Ray originally, but it failed. You made your bed, now lie in it.

This is exactly what I was going to write on the subject. You can thank Microsoft for the Playstation Network and the Wii's online service. Microsoft makes them push harder and harder to catch up. If you don't think Wii-Ware is as blatant a copy of Xbox Live Arcade as the X-Mote is to the Wii-mote then you're blind.

You want to know why Gran Turismo is making such a huge leap forward with GT5? It's because Forza 1+2 trumped GT4 in every way and Sony is now playing catch up on their premiere racing title. 

You can also thank Microsoft for having the first hard drive in a console and the first to give us in game soundtracks of our own music.

 they lost 4 billion. they are just starting to profit with 360 and have barely begun to make up for the 4 billion lost. they have a looooooong way to go.

Microsoft "does not comment on rumours or speculation" so when they actually came out and said they wouldn't make a blu ray capable 360/add on i believed them.

They may be ripping off other companies but aren't the only ones...

Some things sony ripped off in recent years - sixaxis motion controls, PSN network, upcoming achievements rip off for home, rumble in a controller

 i'm knocking them because they talked so much shit about sony for putting bluray in the ps3. they look like hypocritical asses now.
