It's very good but it's not worthy of the universal 10s. (Bribing maybe? I can't see of another way it could have gotten all of the 10s when it's just the same old GTA)

The controls are awful, the camera is pretty terrible, driving sucks, money system is almost as bad as TP's*, much less side stuff to do, glitchy, lacking features and fun stuff from previous games (where are my ambulance missions, and I seem to have lost the ability to do taxi missions because of a story related event).

I really don't see how this game could have gotten the universal praise. 10 out of 10 games are supposed to do nearly everything right, and be very innovative, and GTAIV does neither. I'm thinking bribing is possible.

What do you think? I still think it's a high 9.2-5 game but it's just not as good as said.

Compare it to something like Super Mario Galaxy which is expertly designed, with VERY minor flaws, and I just don't understand....

*It's really lousy. It's okay for the first 15% or so of the game but later on you get so much money and NOTHING to do with it. They should have let you buy houses or businesses or something. Same thing as TP's money system, except possibly even worse.

You really sound like you have not played the game, 1st off Roman lets you do the Taxi missions, the camera is awesome you can adjust it anyway you want thanks to the right stick, as for the feature this is really where i came to the conclusion you don't know jack, Drinking and Driving is fun as hell, Strip Clubs are funny, the radio, and tv are better the radio and tv in real life, the driving is major improvement from any other GTA game, you get to choose if you let someone live or die if they are a main character, The cell phone is amazing pranking the police, calling your buddies to play darts, pool or to go to a strip club or get drunk Maybe you should do some research before you rate a game your self, damn these zelda fanboi's are getting lame they don't even play the game any pretend like they know everything there is to the game.    BTW Zink.... looks like a chick

You are gonna get a lot of flack for this one.

But for me its simple, When I play the game, everything I see on screen puts me in a state of awe. The other day I was just driving down the freeway, and it started raining hard, and I just had to stop the car and look over at the amazingly huge detailed city. I thought to myself. Amazing. Unlike any experience I have ever had in a video game before. It has its similarities to the past titles yes, but IMO this is a whole new experience.

Galaxy's flaws: camera. powerups timed, limited, suck. difficulty only on a few later levels. no online (16-player open world, anyone). oh wait...no multiplayer (no, getting star bits doesn't count). Replay to get 121 stars = pointless = limited replayability.

Great game? Yes. Lots of flaws? Yes.

Keep the GTA hate coming, guys...although, you do take the cake by suggesting every publication was bribed. Wow.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't deserve 10s. I mean, it may be great, but 10 is usually reserved for games that just can't get any better when they are released, and will probably still be great for years to come. GTAIV definitely doesn't pass the former, and the latter is debatable, imo.

I think it's still a AAA, though.

Basically you can say that any game where you can adjust the camera is perfect. Personally, a perfect camera is one where the game will move it to fit it so your experience is majestic. A camera that you can move on your own with your rigth stick is not worthy of appraisal
