Amazing will it reach 20 this year?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

VGChartz has it at 14.73 million sold, so overall very good tracking, well done to whoever's in charge of that.

Media : How's it feel to see Switch so successful after the Wii U?

Nin : Wii who?

As I said in a recent weekly sales thread, I feel like the Switch's dominance in Japan distracts folks from just how much it's kicking arse in North America.

It may not be crushing the competition quite as spectacularly in the weekly charts there, but it's still selling incredibly well.

According to Daniel Ahmad/Zhuge, 13 million of these sales are in the USA, which is very close to PS4's sales in the same timeframe.

And we have the holiday coming up

Huh.

Yeah, I haven't noticed the NA numbers in such a long time. I'm really surprised the Switch was doing as well as it is.

Historically, the US market is always very strong for Nintendo products. Even with N64 that even competed with a console that sold a lot, like PS1. Sony's console only left the N64 behind when Final Fantasy came out. Perhaps there must be an affective relationship with the American public, something merely incremental, logical. If the console has few games or few system sellers, there's no way.

Switch is killing it in both NA and Japan; if I were Nintendo I'd be focusing on making headways into Europe (AKA Sonyland) and ROW. That's where they have room for improvement.

They are showing strong improvement in those regions which is why they recently started separating them in their shipment figures.
