How does look Witcher 3 on Switch

Definitely crap, too blurry and downgraded 14 21.88%

Like what we could expect, no surprise 7 10.94%

A bit better than what we could expect 11 17.19%

It is much beyond what an... 24 37.50%

It is the most incredible... 8 12.50%

I already beat it on PS4, and I think it looks great on Switch. I am not counting pixels and looking for flaws however, because I never expected it to look as good.

It is the complete game and a very well done port that can either be played portable or on the TV, and for what it is it looks fantastic. Just because one version looks better does not mean this one looks "bad", at least thats how I see it.

It's impressive how well the framerate holds up ingame (cutscenes not so much) outside of a few highly demanding places (Novigrad, swamps). That said the image quality obviously took a big hit.

I am sorry, but I can't prevent myself to say that it looks crap. Ofcourse it is much better than ARK. No doubt here. But it is still ugly to me.

I don't contest the real effort put into this port, I can't really say from my poor technical knowledge if it could have been better or not.

I let you answer in the poll and the comment.

Well, people were all around expecting that Witcher 3 would be outright impossible on Switch. So, taking these expectations into consideration, it is amazing!

I myself think it doesn't look great. As I started playing back in the 90s I don't mind too much, if it is a good game, but I surely can see the differences and can see stuff is a bit blurry. I myself would say the graphics is sufficient, but clearly not great.

Hurrah it's here.... soon

Full on lighting to blow your eyes outta your head so you can't see the textures! Good thinking.... actually works quite well tbh.

Lovely shadows too to hide some of the ground detail being missing, some strange settings turned up here, but really works nicely

Water in the background, looks... basic but functional, IGN might be happy to see slightly less water in the game!

Some up close shots of the models in game, honestly I don't think there is anything else like this on Switch, Senua's Sacrifice looked nice but I really think Witcher 3 takes the medal for best in game realistic models to date in a Switch title.

a link to the full album here with a few shots in it extra, but seriously after about an hour or so playing this on my projector I think the work they've done to bring Witcher 3 to such an underpowered machine just cements what I always say... you can port anything, to anything, if the money and will is there to do it.

How can people complain about this while praising blurry corridor shooter Doom?

Those same people hated Doom, too. They'll hate anything rather than appreciate what we have here.

Huh, DF has made an analysis on the final product:

Digital foundry says it's the best looking water on Switch and it has all the same effects as console and PC versions!

Have not watched the video, but you can see in my screen shots above, the lighting and shadow effects are really clearly there and in full effect.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Not gonna lie, I had written off Witcher 3 for years as more Western AAA garbage.  Just recently I found out the developers were the same people who do gog.com.  Now all of the sudden I want this game.  I might hate it, I might love it, but I want to give it a try, because I've never played a game from a Polish studio before, and I also want to send some money their way.

Right now, I'm playing DQ XI.  After that I'm playing Link's Awakening, which means I'll probably pick up Witcher 3 around the holidays.

Yes it has,  but a lot cut back as well and low quality asset and frames rates drop and the resolution is dynamic

As pretty as it is on stronger platforms, I was always under the impression Witcher 3 is considered great mostly thanks to its gameplay and storytelling rather than its graphics.

Anyway, I guess I'll find out soon enough; EB Games opens in 55 minutes, so I'm about to wander on down and pick up my copy.
