Competition is good. It is just one more icon on desktop. Good to check prices from all these plats and buy on the cheapest.

But it is strange coming from Rockstar, which releases a game on PC 2-3 years after the consoles.

Their PC support is almost complete shit.  They still sell Bully and haven't updated it so that it doesn't crash every 2 mins with Windows 10.  So they still sell Bully when they probably could figure the bug out with one or few people and get the damn game to run on Windows 10.  Fucking lazy and greedy bastards.  I'll check again on Steam but I highly doubt they got around to releasing a patch for it.

Another launcher xD it's getting out of hand now.

____________

Does the PC Master Race have a Chuck Norris list?  They need to add to it is that members of the PC Master Race cannot have to many launcher and the like launchers so much, they put launchers in launchers so their launchers can launch launchers.  They love launchers so much, that their Windows interface has a launcher in the lower left hand corner. They order lunch with launchers. The measure of Master Raceness is how many launchers do they have.

The Master Race do not start anything, but launches all things.

The Master Race hacks their games and replaces the word start with launch. Where the word launch appears in the game, they put launch the before it.

They launch their cars and the cooking of their food. They replace the on button on their PCs with launch buttons.

Console owner peons do not launch anything, which is why they are inferior. In fact. They are so scared of launchers that is why they are not fans of Kerbil.

That's why I use Playnite

For some reason I thought they already had a launcher? Whenever I see GTA5 on humble bundle or Fanatical, it's always available through the Rockstar Social Club, not steam. I guess that's just a store and not an application.

Haven't cared for GTA since 4. I'll take SA and leave the launcher.

Ugh, I don't want more launchers.

You're saying you don't want more launchers. But there is plenty of space left on your desktop. Besides, there aren't many gamespublisherinternetcompanies left who potentially could launch their own launcherstores. Maybe two dozens at maximum. That would only be twice as many launcherdigitaldistributiondigitalrightsmanagementstreamingsubscriptionservicestores as there are now.

This makes uPlay and Origin look great. Anyway, I grabbed the free game, then deleted the useless launcher.

The game still work?

I don't know, I didn't even try it. I doubt it though. It's there for when I do want to play it though. Since it's just a single game, it shouldn't be a huge issue to download the launcher when I want to play the game, then delete it afterwards.

I'll download it for a free game.

I dunno, I'm not a big PC gamer anymore and people aren't liking these separate game launchers. But to me it's no different then running a different app on a phone, and its free so can't complain.

Having separate apps to run exclusive games seems easier/cheaper than having separate consoles to run exclusive games.

Am I missing something here?

No not missing anything.  If a company wants to do some exclusive release on a shit store say epic game store and not release on steam then they aren't getting a fucking penny from me.  Fuck these split ecosystems.  That's what consoles are for.  You know maybe it's my loss if I don't get to play a certain game.  Don't give a shit though because I have too many games already.
