Folks like us (at least most of us) aren't the target audience for this. It's primarily for parents who want to buy a cheap portable for their kids, the Japanese market, and 3DS owners who haven't upgraded yet cos the base Switch was too expensive/not portable enough.
No, I like being able to dock/undock. I instead bought the newer model of switch with better battery life and will sell my old one.
No, I already have a Nintendo Switch so I have no need for a Nintendon't Switch.
Not for myself, that's for sure. But possibly for my little Nephew as a gift later down the road.

Honest question, why do you have two? And, if the Lite was available when you bought the second, would you have saved the $100 and gotten the Lite instead?

I have a hacked one and an unhacked one :P I can't take the hack switch online because it will get banned. I actually didn't know it was hacked when i bought it 2nd hand but being able to pirate any switch game became so addictive that now i can't stop. I do still buy the odd switch game if i enjoyed it, like SSB and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
No. If anything, I would replace my old Switch with the newer model with more battery life. But the Lite is not for me. I mean... it is, but not enough.
I spend a lot of time on the train, so portable gaming is important to me. And a smaller Switch is something I would gladly have. However... is not good enough. It is still too big. I have to carry a bag for my Switch and would still have to carry one for the Lite. So... the situation would be the same. Also, while it has better battery life than the original, it's still behind the newer base model, which almost doubles the original. And... you lose the ability to play on the TV. Which, while is not my main gaming mode, is something I definetly like to use from time to time.
Yes, it's 100 dolar cheaper. But in the end, as an exclusively portable device, it doesn't offer enough improved portability features compared to the base Switch. And it has worse battery life, it loses docked mode and it loses the Joy-Con. So... unless you really want a D-Pad... or you have a child and you want something more durable... I would just buy a normal newer Switch.
