Microsoft Has No Further Plans To Bring First-Party Games to Other Platforms

Ugh come on, just at least two more Xbox games on the Switch.

Rare Replay and Ori 2 then you're free to stop planning.

Ya know, with a hacked Switch you could probably get just about everything from Rare Replay up until OG XB and the X360 games on there on the Switch, just saying if you were dying for Banjo on Switch running in HD, you can do that right now with a tool from amazon/ebay but... you'll wanna move your Nintendo account off the system first!

That's half the reason I was planning to get that revision with the updated battery so that I can hack my day 1 Switch after taking my EU/US and Jap accounts from it along with the 200-300 games I own on them.

Fancy hearing me on an amateur podcast with friends gushing over one of my favourite games? https://youtu.be/1I7JfMMxhf8

Well this blows. -_-

They have no plans right now to announce new games.

It's just PR talk.

Or you could go out and buy a 2nd hand X360 and download the real game for a cheap price.

Especially when a next gen system is around the corner.

Wouldn't that go with the fact that there aren't really many 1st party games left for them to release on other platforms? And I kinda doubt we'll be seeing many more in the next 5 years.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

We're disappointed because we thought Banjo in Smash would lead to Banjo-Kazooie games on Switch. Now we're not getting that at all. -_-

Banjo might still be made just for the Xbox eco system. I guess they will see how much buzz and traction it gains from Smash.

This is in the same line as the "we have no plans to release X game on X platform" then a few months later it gets announced.

Predictions (Made July 2019)

LTD: PS4 - 130m, Switch - 110m, XBO - 52m       2019 : PS4 - 15m, Switch - 18.8m, XBO - 4.8m        2020: Switch - 22m (Peak Year)

Microsoft and their messageing..... its so damn crappy and all over the place!

Look at this from May:
https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/30/18645250/microsoft-xbox-game-studios-publishing-valve-steam-32-bit-windows

^ basically everything will now go onto Steam as well.
(Gears + Halo and all Age of Empires I, II, and III: Definitive Editions...)

Also look at most of those game studios they just bought.
Alot of them are working on multi plat games, that will go to PS4 as well (which will be 1st party, since bought studios).

The messageing is horrible... this is basically a "lie".

If you read the article:

We have no plans to further expand our exclusive first party games to other consoles.

With gamepass on PC they bring their games on pc

And studios that they acquired who were making a game for multiply systems will still release the game on the other systems this is known for a long time :s.

New games from the studious like bleeding egde will be on Xbox/PC.

Makes sense. With next gen on the horizon they probably want to keep their games on Xbox/PC for now.

Alright you two.... be honest... how long until the next Steam/Switch/PS4 announcement from a Microsoft Studio?

Maybe, probably, not right now, no current plans...

How long does this PR quote last? until its proven wrong?
