Doesn't matter accident or not the TOS have been set and everyone knows them by now the it's an accident defence is not accepted because everyone would use it when they break the rules.

As for Caleb ask yourself this why is he using the slur to begin with knowing the implications of it Trihex got banned when he used the word f*g simply brushing it off as just in jest is just as bad as witch hunting him only problem is he hasn't done himself any favours with not only his response to the whole situation but his past antics, fact is Twitch have set a precedent against such things because they know letting it slide ultimately leads to more problems as we live in an era were you now can't allow people to have an inch otherwise people will try and take the whole damn country.

I think we can agree breaking the rules and accidents are actually different things. Which is why not everything that happens on live TV for example is treated the same.

Brushing it off as a jest is as bad as witch hunting? No, because witch hunting is intended to hurt someone for something relatively minor in this case.

So people say the n-word in jest one moment, then its tyranny over the country next? When you speak like that, you come off as a person truly out of touch with reality.

We live in the of the most peaceful eras ever, I believe it can withstand the n-word used in jest. But again, I said warning the guy would be fine because of bullshit rules. We don't have to exaggerate what happened here and create a slippery slope scenario.

If someone accidentally showed indecent images of kids on stream would you be here brushing it off as it was an accident they only do it in their own time? No because you know how wrong what they're doing is as a precedent has been set in that it's unacceptable no matter what same thing here which is why brushing it of as in jest is just as bad because you're encouraging such use of a term among others given it's history.

We also do not live in the most peaceful era this planet has been around for billions of years I'm willing to bet we're far from the most peaceful era and using that to justify use of the word makes you part of the problem. You still haven't answered why he'd be using the word as well especially as the person he was talking to is confirmed to be Carcinogen who condemned the use of it.

i think there's a much broader discussion to be had here.

we can't ban racist people from existing, stopping a racist person from using a word, any word, in a derogatory way is not magically going to make this person less racist. if the intent behind using such words was to convey a racist or demeaning thought, then it's the intent that matters, nothing else.

i think if it truly was an accident and in a private conversation, then there's no reason for the guy to be banned. i'm more scared about thought police than people having racist thoughts. i'm pretty sure i've had them sometimes in the past and hope my better judgement helped me realize later on it was irrational to have those. in the same way i'm pretty sure plenty of people had racist thoughts about me and that's ok. it's part of human nature, one that we should continuously strive to be better about. hiding it, or pretending it doesn't exist will never solve the problem, instead will make racist people even more defensive about their "us" vs "them" mentality.

That's the thing it's not being hidden it's being punished the's a difference like it or not that's the only language some people understand, a number of people only began to fear being outed as racist when they faced retribution for their actions these people will always be defensive and have that us vs them mentality as their beliefs are built on a notion that they're superior and now have to share the same rights as others.

I also don't buy it's part of human nature, preference is not racial bias as put a bunch of young kids together they won't hate each other because they look different if anything they're more fascinated by it (an example is that story on social media where a young white child wanted his hair cut short to look more like his black friend) racism is something that is taught.

Wait... So he gets banned because of his skin colour then? I think it's time he let twitch know he identifies as African American and this should all be fine then right?

If you don't understand the difference I feel like you're too dumb to understand even if someone took the time to explain it too you.

Hmm, trying to win a debate by simply insulting the other side. Sounds to me like you lack a good argument and the ability to convey it. Keep trying, though.

I'm not trying to debate you though. Edge lords ranting about reverse racism aren't worth the time or effort. Like I said before if you legitimately don't understand the history or context that comes from living in a society that's barely 50 years away from actual government backed racism and discrimination then you're too stupid to understand even if someone took the time to explain it to you. Not everyone is worth debating, I don't argue with little kids, drunk people or brick walls for the same reason

I blame black people for making that hateful word sound so cool.

This is so ridiculous. When we say my nigga or in Spanish mi negro, it means we really appreciate that person. Context really do matter

Uh, was it the er form of the "N-word"?

Yes, it was.

Avoid all mainstream sjw platforms at all costs. Seek for alternatives. It may be a blessing for him. I all see is black dudes speaking nigga all the time with each other. Rap songs for example, its the most frequent word in rap lyrics.
