Well that's a bit excessive. Their argument is that people should be allowed to say the word in a non-offensive way.

I personally just don't see the point in using that word. It upsets a lot of people and only makes you look bad in many peoples eyes.

My point is that if you can't say it directly in front of them, what makes it OK elsewhere?

Well standing on a random street calling random people that is not the same as calling your friends that. Now I don't care if he does in private with his friends, but try to be more careful if youre streaming online. I just believe you have a responsibility as a more public figure.

People wiling to use violence doesn't mean anything inherently wrong is being done.

I mean people use violence for many type of disagreements. So I'm not sure if that's a great barometer for our freedoms.

Your example was too extreme and I explained why, now move on. Saying the n-word isn't that bad and it wasn't intended to be broadcasted. All of that should be taken into consideration and it probably was. But they're punishing him anyway to appease people like yourself.

The UK has made great efforts staying very white, we can agree on that. Your population lacks diversity compared to ours. So you can boast about celebrating diversity but the numbers say otherwise.

I'm educating you on how the n-word is used in a neutral manner by many people. You can call them "ignorants" and attack me for pointing this out, I'm just sharing some facts with you. If all people decided maybe the n-word shouldn't be used in a neutral manner, it wouldn't affect me. I'm just explaining how its often used. But also when society tries to make these words hate or dangerous on their own, people begin to say them because they're given so much power.

You're indeed a left winger, you can dislike the label but you make the same talking points and have the same views. Trust me, you aren't a unique person with original thoughts.

The harm I'm concerned about is physical harm. You know, actual physical violence for the most part.

No they're punishing him because wait for it "It's against TOS" anything that violates the rules is punished you know much like how if you break the law you're pulled over it which is the point of the example if someone accidentally showed something like in the example and gets banned then the same has to apply across the board so your stance right now is because it's an accident it should be a warning even with serious scenarios like the one I gave an example of.

US should have a more diverse population not only are you a larger country that was founded by numerous nations going there the were different ethnic groups already there as opposed to UK which were white tribes battling each other and other Europeans for centuries so that's a no brainer.

No mate I'm educating you you just find the truth hard to swallow as the fact is the is no neutral use of the slur for the majority of black people as the word is just a derogatory term for us which is why casual use of it is ignorant and those who push its use are ignorant as you're promoting something that's sole purpose is to slight one particular group case point being how the Asians and Jews don't tolerate their slurs either. Don't pull the victim card either as you were never attacked get that BS out of here.

Too bad for you harm comes in more forms than physical this part funny enough highlights more why these rules are in place because under your notion here if someone doesn't get physical than it's alright despite the fact the are many different forms or harm and abuse.

Okay, I'm gonna try and wrap this up. It wasn't a serious accident, it wasn't spreading hate speech, but I feel Twitch is in a position where they have to do something to appease people. The TOS is exercised when they feel it needs to be or more importantly when they want it to be, its a choice. The same goes for laws, not everybody is punished the same.

Well the US has the most diverse population as far as I'm aware. I really don't need people from less diverse countries telling me we should more diverse. Frankly, I'm all for merit based immigration regardless of color.

No, you're lecturing me and making assumptions. You're upset the n-word is used in a neutral manner by black people and other groups, you have the impression I'm okay with this and you say I promote this. In reality, I'm saying this is the way it is and I'd be fine with black people no longer saying the n-word. However, its not uncommon to see black people use the n-word, they trivialize it and I don't really care. I don't feel it causes any real harm.

Uh huh, my concern is physical harm. You don't believe in freedom of speech so its hard for you to accept this idea.

Yeah, that's their brand.  A bit harsh that they issued a take down notice unless they also had a video of the same or similar title.

I been doing those videos for last three years so it was weird. Hell I got videos with those words on my channel now and they were not taken down. From what i could tell its some dogey indian company that many people been impacted by, even the google and YouTube forums complain about them. There is even a petition to take them off YouTube.

YouTube don't give a shit, their respond is email them. You do and they do not respond. I even emailed YouTube (got to their legal team lol) and explained and provided evidence of all this and they just do not care. I even file a counter claim and its been on "final decision" for 6 weeks. My strike will expire quicker then their review lol.

Are we talking about two separate things here?  And what's this about violence?

"A challenge to all of you saying it's OK.

If you are white, go stand in the middle of Harlem and call every black person you see the N-word. Let me know how that goes for you."

It sounds like you're suggesting that would end in violence. Hence, if anything we do has a violent reaction then we shouldn't be allowed to do it.

For those who like visual aids, I think it might go something like this...

WARNING, IT HAS THE N-WORD!

Eh... I decided to not post the video... might trigger people.

Instead here is a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=RDnvXAkMnx8

Your leaps of logic are amusing sometimes.

1). No, I'm not suggesting it ends with violence.

2). No, I'm not suggesting just because something generates a violent reaction that we shouldn't be allowed to do it (probably worth considering not doing though).  And this is null and void anyway because see point 1).

Haha! Okay, you weren't suggesting saying the n-word in a rough black neighborhood leads to violence.

It might just lead to an enlightening conversation. That's what you were suggesting...

Anybody buying this?

I love people trying to justify him say "Nigger"to his "white" friend. All non blacks use the word in a derogatory tone and never with good intentions.

".All non blacks use the word in a derogatory tone and never with good intentions."

so black people always use this word in one way and white people always use it in another?

can you elaborate further?

I'm black and have been friends with many black people and we never greet each other saying ni**er. I don't know what world you live in where they do. Unless you're somehow confused and think the word "nigga" is the same as saying "ni**er" hint, it's not.

You're still missing the point.  It doesn't matter if you get a gun pulled on you, a beat down, verbal abuse or an angry glare.  It's the reception, the reaction, the acceptance, etc....

By the way, rather interesting that you associated Harlem with violence when it's nothing like it was 30-40 years ago.

Hey, you're the guy that randomly cherry picked Harlem knowing its history.

But seriously, lets watch Jax's ending from Mortal Kombat 11 to put all of this discussion into perspective.

Except Twitch have told people for a while what the TOS are and the consequences for breaking them they don't have to appease anyone because by now the rules have long been set hence why he was instantly banned when it happened with out anyone calling for it.

Yet less diverse countries handle the situations much better so yes you can still take notes on things.

No you're being educated on the truth of the matter it's you who is upset hence why you started labeling people who don't share your stance I simply shot down your notion that black people are perfectly fine with the word they aren't the fact you think it causes no harm says it all.

I believe in freedom of speech but unlike you I understand it doesn't equate to freedom of consequence something you're struggling to grasp, harm comes in many forms you ignoring all other types of harm doesn't make them any less serious.
